2011 Port Royal Beach Nourishment Project

A portion of the Town's Islander's Beach Park will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic beginning Thursday December 1, 2011. The closure is required to facilitate the delivery of equipment and material associated with the above referenced project. In upcoming weeks, approximately 6000 linear feet of beach renourishment pipeline will be delivered via truck to the site. The pipe will be off-loaded then transported to the beach for storage and subsequent assembly. The Town's contractor is expected to use the property for the duration of the 2 month project. 86 parking spaces remain open and are available. Park users are asked to be mindful of the barricades and signage and only use those portions of the park which remain open.
