Happy New Year!
The hustle and bustle of shopping, parties and the traditional influx of owners and guests that always accompanies the holiday season here in Sea Pines is now a pleasant memory, and have given way to the calm and solitude that is our usual January. 2010 was another good year for us, particularly in light of the nation’s overall economic condition. We continued to lead all other agents and teams in the number of transactions closed in Sea Pines, and ranked in the top five of all agents and teams in total Island-wide production.
Being part of the Sea Pines Real Estate group, we are also very proud of the group’s outstanding record of Sea Pines property sales (nearly double that of our closest competitor), and equally proud of the group’s solid third place ranking among all Hilton Head and Bluffton real estate companies for sales in the entire region.

This past summer vacation season was the busiest in recent memory, and brought many first-time visitors to our Island oasis. Many of those new visitors stopped by our office to inquire about real estate, and were very impressed by Sea Pines and what we have to offer everyone from second and rental home prospects to the retiree.
Fueled in part by these visitor prospects, the Sea Pines market enjoyed a very active summer home sale season, with 41% more homes sold than in the 2009 summer season.

The demand for Sea Pines beach property is back! We compared recent sales activity with the prior two years, 2008 and 2009.Through April of 2008, seven beach home sales closed, and through April of 2009, six beach home sales closed. In comparison, through April of 2010, ten beach home sales have closed and seven more are under contract awaiting closing. 2010 beach homes sales are clearly off to a great start.
